1. Stop Smoking After Meals!
Researchers claim that smoking after meal is more harmful and it increases the chances for development of cancer. According to the damage of one cigarette after meal equals to 10 cigarettes.
2. Stop Drinking Tea Immediately After Meals.
Tea leaves contain acid that causes the protein of the food that you had previously consumed to harden and in that way it makes it difficult for digestion. The best period of the day for drinking tea is one hour before meal.
3. Stop Consuming Fruits as a Dessert After a Meal!
Although it is widely known that fruits are healthy, when you consume fruits in combination with food or immediately after you consume some other type of food they can do more harm than good to your health. The thing is that the fruit is stuck in the stomach along with the contents of the meals and cannot reach the intestines in time. This is the reason why you should eat fruits at least one hour after meals or in the morning on empty stomach. Actually consuming fruits in the morning is the best for your health because then the body can absorb the nutrients entirely and give you enough energy for the rest of the day.
4. Avoid Taking Baths After Meal.
While we are bathing the blood flow in our hands and legs increases which causes the blood flow around the stomach to decrease. This slows down the digestive system.
5. Don’t Loosen Your Belt!
Well, doing this doesn’t affect your health directly but it is bad. Many people have that stupid habit to loosen their belts after meals because they have eaten too much and that is why it is bad because it is a sign that you have eaten far more than you should. Loosening of the belt may also make you feel comfortable once again which means you may continue overeating. We can conclude that you should eat only to extant that you can be comfortable without loosening your belt!
6. Don’t Fall a Sleep Immediately!
The food that we consume cannot be digested while we are sleeping. This can lead to gastric and infection in our intestines.
7. Don’t go For a Walk After a Meal.
Walking is healthy and we all know that, but walking after a meal is bad and it can result to acid reflux and indigestion. It would be better if you do that half an hour after the meal. Researchers in the Department of Exercise Science at the University of South Carolina have found that walking after meal is a good way to burn calories. What is important is when you are going for a walk. For good results is best to walk from 10 to 20 minutes half an hour after a meal.
