Turmeric has multiple benefits for your health. Only some of them are the following: it has a powerful anti-inflammatory effect, strong antioxidant, fights depression, natural heart healer, brain function and memory improver. And the latest studies revealed that turmeric contains some compounds that may contribute in the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease.
Among all of the benefits the best thing about it is that it is the best spice ever according to me. I enjoy its taste and I always keep a jar of it in the kitchen. I use it as addition in rice dishes, chicken dishes and now my breakfast smoothie.

Turmeric Citrus Drink
Makes 2 drinks.
Ingredients needed:
- ½ cup water
- 1 orange, juiced
- 2 celery stalks, roughly chopped
- 1 Granny Smith apple, cored and roughly chopped
- 2 lemons, juiced
- ¼ inch grated ginger
- 2 teaspoons turmeric
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 carrot, peeled and roughly chopped
- 1 cup orange juice
- Mint, for garnish
Preparation:
Put all the ingredients together in a blender and mix until you get a smooth mixture.
Pour it in a glass and garnish with mint.
