It has been revealed a new drug that removes the double chin in only two or three days without surgery. The drug is called ATX-101 and it awaits approval from the US Food and Drug Administration.
Dr. Susan Weinkle says that the drug eliminates completely the need for cosmetic surgery. As she explains, it takes only 5 minutes to inject the required dose in the area under the chin, and the process is so simple that patients don’t have to wear a bandage, not even immediately after the intervention.
The drug acts in a way that it destroys the membrane of the fat cells in the area under the chin, causing them to burst.
Of course, there are some contraindications such as swelling, bruising or reduction of sense. However, doctors describe the as “short and mild”.
