In a study published in the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine, in the largest ever Harvard study, scientists monitored the mortality of 100,000 adults over a period of 30 years. The focus of the research was to strengthen the immunity against the most serious diseases and the regular use of nuts.
The study found a very strong correlation that applies even to 29% reduction in mortality and increased resistance to the most difficult diseases such as cardiovascular, and 11% reduction in lung cancer and a total of 20% reduction in mortality for all people and in persons who used nuts daily regardless of other dietary habits.
The study showed significant improvements in resistance to diabetes, cardiovascular disease, stroke and heart attack, and other serious diseases that cause death, including cancer.
Our ancestors respected nuts because they can be preserved for a long time without getting spoiled. Our ancestors did not know anything about science and research, but we do because we know now that the nuts are an excellent source of omega-3, protein, fiber, vitamins and antioxidants.
