Many women complain that their elbows are like gravel to touch and that their heels are so dry that they tear stockings. All these come as a result of poorly nourished skin.
Our body needs detoxification each year in order to function properly so does our skin. The skin is damaged from the cold winds in winter and from the heat and the sun in summer. Not properly nourished skin is usually soft, velvet-like, red and cracked. There are tons of products that can be purchased in the stores for the skin care but often they are not as efficient as they promise to be.
Important thing to do for proper treatment of your skin is detoxification. Luckily the process of detoxification is very simple. All that you will have to do is soak yourself in the tub two times in a week for an hour and enjoy while your skin is being nourished.
There are 4 different types of baths used for this purpose and they are:
- Mix of one cup of Epsom salt with ginger root, boil this for about 10 minutes and you will get one of the most nourishing baths.
- Mixture of Epsom salt and 1 or 2 cups of baking soda is another option for bath.
- Mix together sesame seed oil, Epsom salt and sea salt in equal ration (one cup of each) into a warm bathtub of water.
- And the last bath is prepared form a cup of raw apple cider vinegar and a cup of Epsom salt in a hot steamy bathtub of water.
Woman in Japan are known around the world for their beauty and for their smooth skin. Their secret is in a shimmery green seaweed resembling jelly called Kimarine Wakame. It is available both in dry and fresh variety and is used as ingredient of many skin care products (creams, toner mists, facial scrubs etc.).
If you want to use this you should soak it in lukewarm water for 10 minutes and drain it. Then take out the steams and cut the seaweed in small pieces.
You can prepare salad from it by mixing it with sliced avocado, walnuts, baby arugala and optionally salt and paper. In order to make it tastier you can add olive oil and lemon juice as salad dressing.
Kimarine Wakame contains amino acid that nourishes the skin and protects it from pollution and the harmful UVA rays.
Another option of using this seaweed is preparing a facial mask out of it. Just mix it with some essential oil, apply the mixture on your face and cover it with plastic wrap. Keep this mask on your face for 30 minutes and then rinse with cool water. However besides using this seaweed you should know that proper diet is essential for smooth skin.
