There is a natural remedy that is effective for strengthening the work and the overall rhythm of the heart. It is the extract made from hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna).
Hawthorn has been mentioned in historical records dating from1305, by the doctors of the French King Henry IV, and by the people who used it over the centuries and passed it from generation to generation. Although modern medicine is very advanced in the treatment of heart diseases, there still isn’t an adequate remedy for age-related weakening of the heart and the heart muscle. For these and other heart problems, we recommend what is probably the best natural remedy: hawthorn tincture. As an alternative you can use tea made from hawthorn.
This tincture is excellent for strengthening the heart muscle. You need to use it in order to make your arteries and the entire circulatory system healthy. It’s great for people who already have problems with blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, angina pectoris or with heart defects and a nervous heart. We recommend it as a proven efficient therapy when a person is feeling discomfort, palpitations and irregular heartbeat. The tincture effectively affects the nerve sedation, or in the case of stress and bad feeling in the chest and the heart caused by psychological problems. It is good for people who currently do not have any symptoms but are concerned for their health and want to strengthen their heart.
It is best to prepare the tincture by yourself. You will need hawthorn flowers and leaves. You can find the flowers in spring when the plant blooms. It is best to make the tincture with a 96% of medical alcohol or 70% alcohol. Take 20 grams of the flowers and the leaves, chop them and cover with 1 oz of alcohol. Increase the quantity if you want more tincture (40 grams of the herb to 2 dcl alcohol, etc.).
Put this in a glass container and let it sit for 3 weeks at room temperature. Then strain the tincture that is now ready to use. Put 15 drops of it in a small amount of water, 3 – 4 times a day, before meals on an empty stomach.
It is worth noting that you should use this tincture for 3 months in order to achieve the best results for your heart, especially to strengthen the heart muscle. Keep in mind to use a measure of at least 3 dl with 60 grams of hawthorn when making the tincture to ensure a supply for a longer period. When making the tincture, you can also use the fruits, which should be crushed before being immersed in alcohol. The fruits are harvested in the fall.
Apart from the tincture, you can also use hawthorn tea to treat all heart problems, blood pressure and nervousness. With a regular and frequent usage for several months, the tea can have a positive influence on the previously mentioned problems.
You can use the flowers, leaves and fruits for the tea. Use one teaspoon for every cup of tea. Drink 2 – 3 cups a day.
All heart problems can be successfully treated with the tea or the tincture: hawthorn strengthens and regulates heartbeat, arrhythmias, damages and weakening of the heart muscle especially in older people, arteriosclerosis, angina pectoris, pseudo-angina pectoris, heart problems caused by stress, fluctuations in blood pressure, high and low blood pressure, heart valves. In the old folk medicine, hawthorn tea and tincture were also used as a means for anti-aging, problems and disorders in menopause, pneumonia, bronchitis and epilepsy.
We recommend using the tincture or tea in the above manner every day for at least three months for optimal results, especially in elderly people with weak hearts. You can continue to use them even after this period.
