The walnuts you are eating are drugs! Well, at least that is what the FDA says. According to FDA, often referred to as an authoritative agency of food and drug-related tyranny, walnuts could possibly undergo a drug-specialized screening process before they are placed on the store shelves. At least this is the case of Diamond Foods. A small group of Californian walnut farmers started this food company in 1912.
The major cause for this is FDA’s disagreement that first appeared when Diamond Foods started promoting the healthy benefits of the regular consumption of walnuts. And the FDA did not approved that. We all wonder why is that.

Why should this concern you?
It is quite ridiculous that the FDA has the final word when it comes to deciding whether a certain food product is or isn’t good for you, especially if you take into consideration all the critics they get on their address for some of the “approvals” they made. The number of actual threats to human health that are getting approved will sure shock you.
But, the FDA threatened the company with a possible “seizure” if they ignored the warnings the agency set out. We give you an actual excerpt from the letter Diamond Foods received:
“We have determined that your walnut products are promoted for conditions that cause them to be drugs because these products are intended for use in the prevention, mitigation, and treatment of disease… are offered for conditions that are not amenable to self-diagnosis and treatment by individuals who are not medical practitioners; therefore, adequate directions for use cannot be written so that a layperson can use these drugs safely for their intended purposes.”
Could you possibly imagine a set of directions for “use” on every package of your walnuts? How come this kind of regulation is required for natural foods?
The market offers an abundance of dangerously addictive medications, and on the other hand, walnuts and other healthy alternatives are stuck with illogical demands that does not belong to the realm of organic eating. When will the FDA start making some right decisions?
