Fine capillaries on the cheeks and nose, skin tightening or irritation are frequently the consequence of improper care. How to prevent these problems? British experts are giving some tips on these issues.
A very sensitive skin
Your skin reacts even to the slightest irritation. You tried a new face cream and pimples appeared? You may notice some redness and itching, which are typical consequences of cosmetic experiments. Only one thing helps in this case: avoid anything that might irritate your skin, including fragrances, pigments and preservatives. Emulsifiers can also harm a sensitive skin. Be careful when choosing makeup, and products for care and cleansing of the skin. They should be tailored to your skin type and dermatologically tested.
Irritated skin
Does your skin tighten immediately after cleansing? The face care products that do not match your skin type can be held responsible for this. The ingredients that may cause irritation to the skin include vitamins A (retinol) and C, fruit acids, preservatives, emulsifiers and salicylic acid.
If you have itchy skin, it may be an allergy that occurs as a result from a contact with certain substances. You should consult your physician in cases like this. Do not use soap or alcohol solution to clean the skin. Instead, use mildly active substances, the so-called sindet (they don’t disturb the acid film on the skin), and lotions designed for sensitive skin.
