Amish Recipe For Black Salve
Ingredients:
-three tablespoons macerate of comfrey, plantain and calendula (you have got the instructions on how to prepare the remedy in the following text). These ingredients have strong anti-inflammatory and antibacterial features and promote healing. They also contain a plenty of antioxidants
- Two tablespoons of coconut oil – this is a completely natural and very useful ingredient that can also be eaten. It nourishes all body parts and accelerates the process of healing
- Two teaspoons of Shea butter – it has strong anti-inflammatory properties and provides deeper penetration of the balsam (you can find it in the pharmacies)
- One teaspoon of vitamin E oil – this oil has a very positive impact on the health of your skin and it helps it heal faster (you can find it in the pharmacies)
- One tablespoon of honey – it has antibacterial and moisturizing features
- Two tablespoons of beeswax – it helps the medicinal substances in the balm to stay conserved
- Two tablespoons of activated carbon powder – it successfully gets rid of toxins as well as bacteria (you can find it in the pharmacy and in the health food store)
- Twenty drops of essential lavender oil – this oil acts as a regenerative and it helps in reducing pain
- Two tablespoons of kaolin clay – this ingredient is great for extracting toxins and chemicals from the skin. Be careful not to use metal objects when you mix it (you can find it in the pharmacies and in the stores for healthy food)
Preparation:
- The first thing you need to prepare is the macerate
have each of the plants chopped into powder and use a tablespoon of each. Mix that with half a cup of olive oil. You can prepare the macerate in two ways:
the first way is to put all the plants in the oil and then leave the mixture stay in a jar, sealed, for one month and then strain it.
The second way is to put the oil and the herbs in a bowl with double bottom, and put the bowl on heat. Let the oil cook on the lowest temperature for about an hour until it becomes dark colored and until it gets strong scent, and then strain.
- mix the coconut oil, the beeswax, the macerate, the vitamin E, the Shea butter and the honey and put them in a glass jar. The jar should be previously placed in a bowl filled with water.
- heat the water until it boils and then attentively mix all the ingredients with some spoon that is not made of metal and wait until all the ingredients dissolve.
- remove the bowl from the heat and add some activated charcoal, lavender essential oil and kaolin and mix well all the ingredients once again.
- pour the balm into some small jars or cans in as short time as possible and leave them aside.
- keep the balm in firmly sealed containers and use it when needed (for the above mentioned problems)
