1. Toothpaste
If you want to try completely natural toothpaste, which all lovers of natural cosmetics say is great, try the following recipe
Mix baking soda with 3% hydrogen in ratio so that you get a thick paste. This mixture will whiten your teeth, and baking soda itself has similar properties. However, do not use this mixture too often because it can damage your enamel.
2. Face peeling
If you have sensitive skin that reacts badly to perfumed-bought peelings full of chemicals, or simply do not want to spend money on it, try this simple and cheap recipe. Make a paste consisted of ¾ of baking soda and ¼ of water. Using this mixture you can remove dead cells from the surface of your face, without worrying that your face will scrape – baking soda is gentle.
3. Deodorant
Since not everywhere in the world is talked about how bad and harmful supermarket bought deodorants are, baking soda had become quite a popular alternative because it has been proven to be an excellent absorber of unpleasant odor. You can baking soda with a few drops of essential oil of your choice, and then soak it in water.
Transfer the resulting mixture in a sprits bottle and use it as a deodorant.
4. Shampoo for deep washing your hair
If your hair very quickly and often gets oily or you use products for hair shaping, such as gel or foam, then you need to use a shampoo for deep washing hair from time to time.
This shampoo will remove any accumulated hair product debris and will make your hair mild, soft and beautiful. Such shampoos can be found in drugstores but they are very expensive.
Fortunately you can try and make one at home, which some claim to be great. Put as much shampoo as you normally use in your hand and add half a teaspoon of baking soda. Use the mixture to wash your hair.
5. Shampoo for dry washing your hair
If you need to quickly refresh your hair in the morning, when you do not have much time, you can use spray for dry washing hair, or, of course, baking soda. Use it as baby powder, apply a bit on the hair roots (but do not exaggerate because your hair will look white) leave it to act for a few minutes in order to absorb the particles that make it look oily, and then give your scalp a good massage. Finally, comb.
6. Coating for soothing burns
This recipe works especially well against sunburn because it reduces heat, decreases pain and helps to quickly renew the skin. Dissolve two teaspoons of baking soda in one liter of water and soak clean and soft cloth in the resulting solution. Apply this coating to the critical parts of the body, and once you notice the cloth gets dry and warm, repeat the procedure.
7. Body peeling
Baking soda is excellent for both the face and the body. Before you make a home peeling for the whole body, first you need to find an empty bottle or packaging of product for body care. Fill the empty bottle halfway with baking soda and add about 15 drops of essential oil of your choice in it. It will give a very nice and pleasant smell. Next, add water in the bottle until you get the desired texture and density.
8. Pedicure
There is no need to spend money on expensive baths, masks and feet peelings – especially not if you have baking soda at home. When you come home tired after hard work, sit back, relax your feet in hot water and dissolve 2-3 teaspoons of baking soda in it.
Also, add a few drops of essential lavender oil, which relaxes and soothes. Allow your feet to soak in for 15-20 minutes. After that, immediately do feet peeling using the same mixture that we recommend for a face peeling.
