The dairy industry has long advertised the animal milk as the go-to source of calcium, but the news are – it is bad for you. The calcium from the animal milk is not that well absorbed as the one from the plants, and drinking animal milk can also lead to some dangerous health issues.
1). Broken bones
A medical study was carried out in Sweden and it was discovered that women who drink large amounts of dairy milk daily were more prone to fractures than those who drank little or no milk.
2). Prostate cancer
According to some evidence, the consumption of milk and other dairy products can lead to an increased risk of prostate cancer. Alternately, diets that do not include milk slow down the progress of prostate cancer.
3). Lactose intolerance
The sugar called lactose, present in cow’s milk is difficult for some people to digest and can cause cramps, nausea, bloating, gas and diarrhea. These symptoms can even worsen.

A Swedish study has revealed that women who drink four or more servings of milk a day were twice likely to develop ovarian cancer than those who consume two or fewer servings a day.
7). Milk allergies
Milk allergies are different from lactose intolerance and usually occur in young children. They are characterized by possibly dangerous infections, including vomiting or anaphylaxis.
8). Antibiotics
Antibiotics are given to the most of the cows. This causes antibiotic-resistant bacteria, which may reduce the efficiency of antibiotics that humans use.
9). Saturated fat
One serving of whole milk has over 20 percent of the daily recommended allowance of saturated fat, but even one percent milk contains about 8 percent of this daily allowance. Three servings of whole milk a day mean 60 percent for the day, without you having eaten any food.
10). Weight gain
No matter what the industry says, a study was conducted on over 12,000 children and it was discovered that the more milk children drink, the more weight they gain. Even more interestingly, 1-percent milk leads to even more weight gain than 2-percent or whole milk. It was also discovered that replacing soda with milk does not lead to any weight loss.
11). Bone loss
The animal protein in dairy products does not improve the health of the bones, but it leaches the calcium from them.
All these factors and the fact that large-scale milk production damages the nature and the environment make it clear that milk is bad for you. You can make an examination before completely ditching the dairy products and try going vegan for a month.
