The first thing we need to do when we get up in the morning is wash up and make our bed that’s what we’ve always been told. Ever since we were kids this is a habit which has been rooted deeply in our minds.
First, let’s explain how can dust mites harm our health and what they really are.
They live in our bed, sheets and pillows. They are tiny, microscopic bugs which are feeding on our dead skin cells and sweat, rapidly multiplying. And they are also rapidly excreting, up to 20 times a day. In an average bed scientists have confirmed that there are up to 1.5 million dust mites.
This is the biggest health hazard for humans, dust mite excrement. It contains protein which when gets inhaled or come in contact with our skin gets our antibodies’ levels up. Our body starts to release histamine when our antibodies’ number increases and that’s when the problems begin.
The swelling and redness usually associated with allergies is caused by histamine. Red and watery eyes, watery nose, itching sensation, hay fever, sneezing, coughing and even breathing problems are some of the following symptoms.
After being exposed to dust mites some people who are extremely sensitive to these dust mites may even notice red, itchy bumps on their skin. How to get rid of them and improve your overall health it’s very important to know.
The solution to get rid of the dust mites is very easy and simple.
You just have to go against everything you’ve been told as a child.
DO NOT MAKE YOUR BED IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOU GET OUT OF BED!
You expose them to direct sunlight and fresh air if you don’t make your bed in the morning, which will dehydrate and destroy them. You trap the heat, dead skin cells and the sweat in your bed when you make your bed immediately after you get up.
The dust mites feed on them and multiply extensively. So scientists advise to make your bed on the evening you should have breakfast, go to work and make your bed in the evening, this will eliminate many of the dust mites, clear the air in the room and give you a peace of mind.
Also make sure that you wash your sheets and pillow cases regularly, at least once every two weeks.
There you have it, you can now be lazy and have a good reason for it. You can just blame it on the dust mites if anyone asks why your bed is not made.
